Through strategic implementation of media activities, compared to the event held in 2011, media coverage has increased to a whopping 920%, which can be considered a testimony to the success.

The Challenge

The ‘Land, Infrastructure & Transport Technology Fair 2013’ was held to spread public awareness about excellent R&D achievements in the field of construction and transportation as well as to increase the people’s understanding of R&D. The fair aimed to invigorate the network between experts and exchanges of technology information as well as to provide ample business opportunity between technology suppliers and consumers. In addition, the technology fair intends to solidify technology capabilities of small businesses in the field of land and transportation by vitalizing exchanges of technology information, providing opportunities for commercialization and facilitating transactions and transfer of R&D achievements for industry development. PR House was requested to focus on raising awareness about the Fair and promoting national welfare technologies to inform of technologies for the welfare of the nation in a more effective way.

The Solution

PR House emphasized two major points of ‘providing opportunities for commercialization and facilitating transactions and transfer of R&D achievements for industry development’ and ‘promoting national welfare technologies' to increase public awareness.

To highlight the providing of opportunities for commercialization and facilitating transactions and transfer of R&D achievements for industry development, PR House executed various PR activities and developed a wide variety of special articles covering the best-selling products in the field of land and transportation, leading technology in the world and small-medium sized best companies, to spread news of technology development for people to the nation. Second, to promote national welfare technologies, PR House distributed a wide variety of special articles covering half-price traditional Korean-style houses, electric battery buses, and others. These stories were publicized and broadcasted throughout the nation.

The Result

Thanks to the well prepared and organized event of the Fair, the development of Korea’s land and transportation in the era of creative economy and technologies for national welfare have been widely publicized. Through strategic planning of public relations, compared to the event held in 2011, media coverage has increased to a whopping 920%, which can be considered a testimony to the success of the fair.

The ‘Land, Infrastructure & Transport Technology Fair 2013’ is expected to serve as a network venue to promote exchanges of information technology and further advance R&D achievements.
